DISCO's Auto-tagging comes as part of the Discovery Suite add-on with DISCO Libraries. The Auto-tagging is performed by an "AI" machine learning system that we programmed to listen to audio and apply relevant creative tags.

Auto-tagging basics

Thanks to the Auto-tagger, tens of thousands of tracks can be tagged with industry standard, descriptive information without any extra effort or time. The tagging schema used by the Auto-tagger is derived from the most commonly used tags across thousands of companies in DISCO's ecosystem.

• Tracks can be sent to the auto-tagger manually or automatically as they upload.
• Once tracks have been auto-tagged they are connected permanently to the AI system.
• Identical audio is instantly recognized if it is added again (duplicates do not take up extra Discover Suite quota).
• Your tracks will be updated in the background with new and improved tags as the Auto-tagger learns over time.
• The Auto-tagger will never remove manually added tags.
• The Auto-tagger will never re-add manually removed tags.

How do I Auto-tag my tracks?

Option 1: Drag n drop

• Drag n drop tracks or playlists onto the "Auto tagged tracks" section in the Lefthand Nav to trigger the process.

• The AI listens to the tracks and adds tags - this takes anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.

• The drag n drop option is best if your Discovery Suite track quota is lower than your base plan track quota and allows you choose exactly which tracks are tagged.

Option 2: Auto-tag on upload

• Ask support to set your account to tag the tracks as they upload.
