DISCO’s advanced search filters allow you stack layers of search terms to narrow down results. The filters work on metadata, custom fields, track and playlist tags, channels and inboxes.

Refining a search

1) Enter a query in the search bar then apply filters against it:

• We are generally looking for Rock in any available field or tag etc - so Rock is entered in the search bar...

• add Year filter = is between 1990 and 1993
• add Lyrics filter = “flying”
• add BPM filter = is more than 120

2) Enter a query as the first filter then apply additional filters

• We start more specifically with the Genre field = Rock
• and apply the same filters as above

This method should return less results because we narrowed the starting point to a single metadata field.
