Text blocks have useful features and customization options in the edit bar plus extra flexibility to manage images in the email body.
A Merge tag pulls in data from specific fields in the contact database to customize each email for each recipient, like adding their first name automatically into the greeting when the email sends.
As you compose your email simply stop typing where you want the Merge tag to auto-fill some contact info, or move the cursor there and select Merge tags from the edit bar.
<aside> 🕺🏽 Even though the DISCO contact database has a single field for Name, our tool separates out the first and last names automatically.

When you add a merge tag there is an option to add default text incase there is no first name to pull from, I usually just add the word “there” as in “Hi there”...
Adding an image inline in your text block is an easy way to insert more eye catching content to support your message.
